Katakura 片倉 (3)

On the other side of town is the beach, which is currently devoid of all wooden shops, restaurants and stages. I believe there's a MTV beach house here. They'll return in a few weeks.
The birds there are quite aggresive. Large, hawk-like and very fast, they hover on the sea breezes above you then swoop down suddenly.
They'll even follow you. One swooped down and grabbed piece of my chicken without touching my hand.

Katakura 片倉 (2).

Katakura 片倉 also has a main shopping street with lots of food for sale.

Katakura 片倉.

Katakura 片倉 is about 20 minutes outside of Yokohama 横浜.
Quite a few temples are located there along with a giant Buddha.

Saimyoji-temple-(Buddhist).

This temple is in Musashi Kosugi 武蔵小杉. The Buddhist temples are the one's without the gates; the one's with..or the other way around..

Sakura桜(Cherry Blossoms)

Spring in Japan is ruled by Sakura. Sakura are flowers that are pink. In Japan, in spring, EVERYTHING has sakura on it. If it doesn't then someone will put a sticker of one it. Every night in the news the time of the coming of the sakura is estimated and anticipated. Finally they open and everyone stops what they're doing to go get drunk under them.

They are pretty and mean winter is over.
