Space Is At A Premium In Japan...

..so there aren't any sprawling parking lots spreading for infinity in every direction like in the States. Instead there these things; high-rise parking lots about three cars wide with a rotating platform in front. You drive your car onto the platform, which gets it lined up for the parking lot (because there isn't enough space to turn around), then you get out and you or the parking attendant pushes the button that sends it up the 'elevator'.

Hiatus...

Apologies for the long absence. I've been busy with a few things here; getting my various bills under control, working a lot of overtime, switching to a different branch (from Kamata to Hiyoshi and I've just returned from Bali..more on that later..

For right now I tried setting up my blog so that I could send entries from my phone, but the pictures associated with them would not post.

Something is wrong with my phone and I can't even turn it on to access my new pictures...or my mail...or my text messages...or my contacts list.

I'll do my best to add posts withing the next week..
