Sometimes after a few days of free campsites, it's nice to be able to charge your shit, take a free shower and use a clean toilet..even if it does cost you ¥500.
May have saved a little girl's life at this campground: the site is used by the Japanese Self Defense Force, and there's a training course there. From afar, atop the hill, the course looks like a jungle gym for kids, so they flock there. It's only when one approaches closely that one realizes that the course is not for kids (I almost threw out my shoulder on the overhead rings). The girl, about four, had slipped between the beams of the course and was hanging by her head between the beams.
Stepped on my Oakleys running up the hill to reach her, when they fell out of my pocket. Carried her to her mother who was like 'meh'..
